Welcome to the slightly new and marginally improved Playthroughline!

Playthroughline
Shiny.

It's been six years since I started this little blog and it's grown quite a bit since then. At first I was just putting out a couple of wacky scripts that poked fun at stories in videogames, but in those six years, those scripts have been read and shared by more people than I could have ever hoped for, and I even got fellow writers interested in contributing scripts. That's why I felt it was time to give Playthroughline a thorough redesign to get with the times already. So, what's new? Let's take a look. The main thing is that the scripts now look a lot fancier, more like photocopied screenplays. This really lends the scripts a sense of authenticity, which is then immediately abandoned when the amount of dick jokes in them becomes clear.

By switching from WordPress to Drupal, the whole site has a slicker look and feel. There's also a new Authors page that list all contributors and the work they've put in. It's much easier to look for specific scripts now. The entire site has been made a lot more friendly to mobile devices, so now you can stifle laughter and/or groans on the bus as well.

Over the next few days, I'll be uploading a few glorious contributor scripts that I've kept in the pipeline to celebrate this redesign. The first one lampoons Hideo Kojima's latest brain fart and it should become available very soon!

I'd also like to take this opportunity to give thanks to my webmaster and good friend, Matei "Ambient.Impact" Stanca. They were kind enough to help me out when I first got the idea for Playthroughline, and in the past couple of months, they have gone above and beyond the call to make this site redesign really come together. It has been a joy telling them what to do and nitpicking the tiniest and most inconsequential of details to get the site into proper shape. They have been instrumental in the upkeep of this endeavour and I can't thank them enough.

We'll be working in tandem over the next few weeks to work over the older content and update it to the site's new look. Things might look a bit messier the further back you go, but really, that applies to my writing in general too. If you catch a bug somewhere or see something that beggars all belief, do get in touch and let me know.

For now, enjoy the site in its newfound glory and keep an eye out for the incoming scripts!
